Under what conditions can you receive a PriceCarz replacement car
The replacement car is granted based on Law no. 132/2017 and subsequent acts regarding RCA (ASF Norm no. 18/2022, H.G. no. 298/2023, H.G. no. 1326/2023), which allow the reimbursement of rental costs for the damaged party when their own vehicle cannot be used.
Car technically unavailable after the accident – you can receive a replacement car for a maximum of 30 days, but not longer than the duration of the repair.
Car still usable, but with the insurer’s approval – the insurer with whom the claim file is opened can approve a replacement car under the same conditions as above. In both cases you must provide: document of entry into the repair shop, repair estimate and exit note.
Car declared a total loss (including economic total loss) – a replacement car can be reimbursed for the period between the damage assessment and the compensation offer, but the total reimbursed value cannot exceed 25% of the market value of the damaged vehicle.
*The service is offered only to the damaged party, on the liable driver’s RCA insurance, within the limits accepted by the insurer. PriceCarz helps you check eligibility and prepare the documents.
